Pre-Round Rituals: Only Having One Moment

The thing with disc golf tournaments, is that they happen over and over again. Yet at the same time, you only have one shot- one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted. So we have to ask ourselves, “Do I capture it? Or just let it slip?”

It doesn’t matter if your palms are sweaty, knees weak- or if your arms are heavy. I know there could be vomit on your sweater, from the night before, carbing up- mom’s spaghetti. But the fact is we get nervous. On the surface, you may look calm and ready to throw hyzer bombs, but you keep on forgetting what you’ve worked out. You end up choking. How?!? Everybody’s joking now. Now the clock’s run out, times up- over. Blouw.

It’s easy to get mad, but we won’t give up that easy- no. We won’t have it. You really need to just lose yourself in the moment, YOU own it. You better never let it go. You only get one shot, do NOT miss your chance to throw, this opportunity comes once in a lifetime.

There’s no more games, because you need to change what you’d call rage. You need to tear this mother freaking roof off like two dogs: caged. You were playing in the beginning, but the mood’s all changed. You’ve been chewed up, and spit out and booed while you played. But you kept playing and stepped right into the next cypher. We’d best believe somebody’s paying the pied piper or something to that effect.

It’s important to realize how, while in the moment that has happened many times over, we only have that one moment. Please do NOT miss this chance. To blow. Yo.
